Unlike other French Grande école of business which have a 3 years programme (after two years of Classes Préparatoires) IESEG offers a five-year program just after completing the Baccalauréat : the Grande école programme. In addition to mainstream courses, students are allowed to concentrate in a variety of subjects that range from finance to human resources.
This program is composed by a 3 years Bachelor of Business Administration programme followed by a 2 year Master of Science in Management.
From September 2010, it will be possible to new admitted students to follow all the courses of the 5 years programme only in English, allowing foreign students with no French background to be admitted as a IESEG student.

During the 5 years cursus, students have to do 4 internship, in France or abroad. It is necessary for the student to validate at least 4 months of experience abroad, before graduation.
The first internship is the labour internship (at least 1 month, up to 3 months, at the end of the first year), where the student will have to understand the working world and team working.
Second internship is sales internship (1 month, up to 3 months). After acquiring sales techniques during the second year, the student will go out in the field to practice his new skills.
Third internship is the Junior Manager internship (2 or 3 months), where the student will have to take responsibility and use his analytical skills.
The last internship, Executive Internship (6 months), is the springboard towards professional life. Many of the students get an open-ended contract with the company they are having their executive internship.
The 2-year Master of Science in Management (Grande Ecole Programme) aims to develop students’ personal skills that will allow them to be operational managers with a strategic perspective. They will be capable to act in an international and multicultural environment contributing to change management processes.
As all students in the MSc programme already have received a Bachelor in Business Management or related degree, they will be able to choose one of the 8 majors in management: Audit / Control, Finance, General Management, Operations Management, Human Resources Management, Information Systems Management, Marketing, International Negotiation and Sales Management.
All students are also required to complete a 6-month mandatory internship and a consulting project or dissertation.
The programme is completely taught in English. However, for those who plan to do the internship in France, a good level of French is an evident advantage. French language classes are mandatory for non-French speakers.
Master of International Business
The MIB programme caters to students who already hold a first-class bachelor degree and wish to study management in an international setting.
The MIB modules provide prospective students with theoretical fundamentals in management, as well as with hands-on, practical applications.
About the Dual-Degree The unique dual-degree MBA/MIB between Clemson University and the IESEG School of Management offers graduate students the opportunity to earn complementary business degrees from two distinct institutions.
Students spend 21 months – one year in Greenville, S.C., USA, and one in Paris, France – studying with leading business faculty and graduate with two advanced degrees: a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from a leading U.S. institution and a Master’s of International Business (MIB) from one of the top business schools in France.
All instruction is in English, although students will be encouraged to study French. Instructional opportunities will be provided while in the U.S. and France. During the summer months, dual-degree students may choose to study in China or India through established Clemson and IESEG programs and/or will complete an internship.
Throughout the program, students are immersed in exciting learning and business cultures, which prepares them for global careers upon graduation. Further, students are provided the opportunity to build social and business networks in both locations, enhancing their business reach and leadership potential.
Dual-degree overview Students experience an immersion in both North American and European perspectives on business. All instruction is in English, although French language courses are available and students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. During the first year, students study business principles at the Clemson University campus in Greenville, S.C., USA. During the second year, students study international business with an opportunity to pursue a focus area in Paris, France. During the summer between the two program years, students may participate in a two-month internship or study in China or India through established university programs. The dual degree is designed for students with a business undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years post-undergraduate work experience. Students with a non-business undergraduate degree or less than two years work experience may be considered, but additional coursework will be required. The two degrees are awarded at the successful completion of the second year in Paris, France.
Twinning Programmes IESEG is developing twinning programmes with esteemed international institutions. Those programmes take place at the bachelor level. The first 2 years of the BBA programme are taught in the partner institution and the final year is taught at IESEG. At the end of the programme, successful students receive the IESEG Bachelor degree and have the possibility to pursue their studies at IESEG in the two-year MSc in Management degree course.
Each summer, IESEG offers to international students a four-week programme (called Summer Academy) on the Paris' campus, including business courses taught in English and French language course. Students will be able to validate a maximum of 12 ECTS credits that they could transfer to their home university.[1]
IESEG has two types of admission: First of all, the Access contest, made for the students who lives in France. If the student passes the writing test, he'll have to go to Lille for an interview. But also, international students can send their application. If they're admitted on their scholar file, they'll have to come to Lille for an interview too.
IESEG has 140 partner universities around the world (40 different countries), in which the students can be allowed to spend one or two semesters as an exchange student.
Almost 500 students coming from those partner universities come to study at IESEG every year. They are asked to take up to 15 electives (30 ECTS credits) over more than 200 courses taught in English. It is also possible for them to take some of the Bachelor courses taught in French, and French language class.
IESEG shares a research department with CNRS, a state-owned research body. Primary areas of research are economics, social sciences, finance and marketing.
The historical campus, located inside the city of Lille, is composed of 5 buildings for a total surface of 11,000 m2. The two main buildings are opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all students, allowing them to access computer rooms or studying room at anytime, by using a magnetic badge.
In 2008, IESEG opened a second campus in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris, where the very same programme is offered. The objective was to attract more students (mostly international students) and reinforce relations with companies. It also allowed IESEG to get more students, with 180 more students admitted each year. Shortly after the academic year began, IESEG acquired a 6000 m2 platform in the Grande Arche in La Défense, the business district at the west of Paris. In October 2009, all the IESEG students were moved from the Boulogne-Billancourt campus to the new campus in La Défense.
The Paris campus has 13 amphitheatres, 10 classrooms, 3 multimedia centres, 1 library and rooms for school associations. On the long range, 1,000 students are expected on this campus.
IESEG is ranked among the top business schools in France. The French magazine L'Etudiant has ranked IESEG 8th in the 2010 French Business Schools Ranking (7th on both academic and international level, 23rd on the relations with companies). The article also said : IESEG is the first "PostBac" School to reach the top 10 and has became a serious competitor among the best ESC's.[2]
In November 2009, the French newspaper Le Figaro has ranked IESEG first "PostBac" (with admission right after the Baccalauréat) Business School in France,[3] and 18th in the general ranking.[4]
